Kingswood Heritage Company Ltd Green Belt Development Policy

In November 2020 Richard Costain Ltd transferred the titles of a majority of the roads in Kingswood to Kingswood Heritage Co Ltd (‘Kingswood Heritage’). The titles transferred included the freehold of the roads, verges and covenants owned by Richard Costain Ltd.

Kingswood Heritage is a not-for-profit company formed by local residents to receive those assets and was founded to continue and improve the management of the private roads and to raise funds in return for management of the assets and the administration of purchasers’ enquiries and the granting of covenant waivers.

Funds raised are applied for the benefit of the local community.

Although an entirely separate organisation from the Kingswood Residents Association (‘KRA’), the Board of Kingswood Heritage has established an aligned policy thatit should, wherever possible, work to support the KRA position on planning policies.

Since the KRA opposes the development of green belt land, Kingswood Heritage will refuse all applications for covenant waivers for such green belt developments.
